Postnatal Doula Services
Postnatal services will vary according to individual needs and are chaarged at an hourly rate and times to be agreed by myself and the client. Tasks can include, cooking, cleaning, childminding duties and any other chores that may be required.

We imagine a world where women are encouraged to trust their bodies and where all myths around pregnancy, childbirth, parenthood and breastfeeding are banished.
As a Doula, I Do Not:

Perform any clinical tasks
Doulas do not take on a medical role or offer medical advice.
During labour
I will be on hand to provide the support required to allow you to feel secure and supported throughout the labour process, whether this is in the form of massage, breathing techniques or positioning. Dads need support too, so even the job of grabbing sustenance to keep everyone going falls in with my role as your doula.
Make decisions for you
I can signpost you on how to seek advice from appropriate sources but decsions relating to your care are yours to take.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
Doulas can request help form medical caregivers if you or your baby appear to be in distress or physical trouble, we can also mediate between you and medical caregivers when there is a disagreement or misunderstanding.
Baby’s first feeding Support
I will typically stay for a short time after you have given birth and help with any breastfeeding support that may be needed. After this time i will leave you to immerse yourselves in your new baby bubble! I will of course be available via phone and email.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
Your birthing journey is exclusively and uniquely yours and my role as a doula is to be there phyiscally and emotionally to suppport you through that journey. My role is to nurture and protect your memory of your birth experience.
Postpartum follow-up visit
This usually takes place within the week after the baby's birth and acts as a completion session and to hear how your birth experience was. And of course to officially welcome your baby to the world!
